Protein Balls

These are good little protein-packed snacks. You can add in different things to change the flavor, like currants, sunflower seeds, almonds, dried cranberries - even mini M&Ms!
This recipe has about 10 grams of protein per ball, using high protein oats. If using regular oats it's about 8 grams per ball.
Ingredients:
1-1/2 cup oats (high protein by Bob's Red Mill or regular old fashioned)
1 cup nut butter (I use half peanut butter and half almond butter, but anything works)
2 scoops chocolate protein butter (vanilla would be fine too)
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips, or regular chips chopped up a bit
Instructions:
Put all of the ingredients into a bowl.
Use a heavy spoon to stir everything together. It will seem dry and difficult to mix, but do the best you can.
Finish the mixing process using your hands if necessary to get everything well combined.
Form 22 balls, which will be smaller than a golf ball, and put them on a cookie sheet.
Put the cookie sheet into the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to help them set.
Store them in a covered container in the refrigerator or the freezer.
